Our Lawyers

Our team offers not only a remarkable breadth and depth of trial experience, but experience in arbitration and appellate matters as well. In addition, many of our partners are board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in one or more areas of litigation:

  • Don Jackson – Civil Trial, Personal Injury Trial
  • Eileen O’Neill – Civil Appellate, Civil Trial
  • Paul Smith – Personal Injury Trial
  • Tim Lee – Civil Appellate

Board certification requires that an attorney practice in their area of specialization for at least three years, as well as take part in rigorous continuing education courses. It’s an achievement that few attorneys reach.

There’s something else that’s distinct about us and our attorneys: we listen. Clients appreciate that our attorneys take the time to understand their priorities and then develop a plan and strategy reflecting their input.

Tal DeBauche

As a high school teacher at YES Prep Public Schools in Southwest Houston, a school serving low-income neighborhoods and striving for 100% college attendance, Tal learned to live by the school’s motto: “Whatever it Takes.” Applying this principle to having a successful law school career at the University of Houston Law Center, Tal served as a judicial intern for the Honorable George C. Hanks, Jr., United States Magistrate Court, Southern District of Texas, and the Honorable Marvin P. Isgur, United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Texas, a competitive brief writer for the University of Houston Moot Court Team, and as Chief Notes and Comments Editor of the Houston Law Review, before graduating with honors in May 2014.

In the classroom, and in the courtroom, “Whatever it Takes” means thorough planning, effective communication, skillful execution, and most importantly, hard work. Understanding this, Tal is well equipped to represent clients with accountability and zeal.

Tal has two kids, Weston and Evelyn, with his childhood sweetheart and wife, Dava. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, he practices as a near-scratch golfer and avidly follows his favorite team, Arsenal Football Club, a London-based soccer outfit.
