Charles Hutchison

Charles received his Juris Doctor at the University of Texas School of Law in 2021. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy and minor in Economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2017. Charles was a 2020 summer associate at Ware Jackson before joining the firm.

While attending UT Law, Charles gained experience helping attorneys win products liability, insurance subrogation, and wildfire litigation cases. Charles was a student trainee at the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Enforcement Division, where he worked on actions that resulted in over $1 million payments to whistleblowers. Charles also worked in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office in the District of Columbia, where he worked with attorneys on employment discrimination cases.

Before attending UT law, Charles gained invaluable political experience. Charles worked as a Campaign Manager for the Malcolm Augustine for State Senate Campaign and as a Field Director for Victor Ramirez for the State Senate campaign, leading both candidates to blowout victories in the primary and general elections. Charles also worked under the late Congressman Elijah E. Cummings, former Head of Oversight Committee in the House of Representatives, and in the United Nation’s Political Affair’s Office at the Department of State.

While in college, Charles was the school’s sole representative to the Student Advisory Council, a group established by the Maryland General Assembly, to advise the Maryland Higher Education Commission students’ concerns, perspectives, and experiences attending Maryland institutions. Charles was the President and Vice-President of two prominent political groups on campus. He hosted widely regarded campus events and acted as a guest speaker on campus political panels.

In his free time, Charles loves swimming, reading, and studying publicly traded companies in the stock market.
